Radiant heating system is becoming more and more popular nowadays. It is a tool of heating a room by warming some of its surfaces such as walls or a floor. The old system of warming was equipped with radiators that were located in the corners of the room. But the problem with this tool was that to heat up the whole room they had to get very hot, and if a person touched them by chance he could get burned. One more disadvantage of this tool was that they warmed the room non-evenly, mostly the space around them when at the same time in the opposite corner of the room it was much colder. The contemporary method of radiant heating is totally different thanks to utilizing broad surfaces. The scheme of operation of method is founded on thermal radiation and is similar to the previous techniques. Temperature and heating radiation are properties of any object. The ability of objects to absorb heat from contiguous structures makes it possible to use heating radiation of the floor to warm your feet, for instance. Another system of heating is usually called forced air technique. Its destination is to blow heated air into the house. The disadvantage of this technique is that forced air heats up small parts of different origin: mold, dust and others, so this system can not be used in the houses where people with allergies live. What is more, hot air has just local action, it doesn't heat the room. As regards radiant heat, it is constructed to let the heat rise uniformly from the floor, in this way, the room is heated evenly and keeps the temperature during longer period of time. The radiant heat is highly efficient in large houses. Forced air procedure works for small houses, but don't forget about allergy troubles. Make sure your home is well-insulated, so the heat will not be lost through windows chinks or ceiling. There are 3 types of radiant heating: electric system based on electric wires, air system based on hot air under the floor, and hydronics based on hot water under the floor. Heating techniques are numerous and it's up to you to decide which one is right for you. But as the practice indicates the most effective way to warm a house is radiant heating.
